Tim
Tim Wilkerson is a Licensed Independent Social Worker - Clinical Practice,
who has counseled adults, children, families, and couples since 1986.
His post graduate education focused on issues of development throughout the life cycle.
His specialties include, marital and pre-marital counseling, addictions, PTSD, codependency, women's issues, chronic illness, adult children of alcoholics,
and adult survivors of abuse.
Tim is available to give presentations to churches, schools or other groups.
About Therapy
Tim employs a range of effective treatment approaches including: NLP, cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, process therapy, and psycho-education, tailored to help you understand the nature and root of your problem. He can help you develop strategies and solutions to put your life and relationships back on track.
Tim's goal is to work with you to reach the point where you no longer need therapy. Studies have shown that the benefit of medication alone is limited after 3 months. Long term, the benefit of therapy is unlimited and more effective than medication. Ideally, therapy coupled with medication, where needed, shows the best immediate response and long term benefit. If you and your doctor agree, Tim will work with you both to develop the most effective treatment.
Insurance
Payment by cash or check is expected at the time of the appointment.
I will provide an invoice for you to file with your insurance company.
My office is not a Medicare or a Medicaid provider, and I am not on any insurance panels.
